Two students from Venice High School were honored for community service at the Fulfillment Fund 18th Annual Achievement Awards Saturday, June 5th, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

The Fulfillment Fund is a California mentoring organization and private provider of college scholarships to Los Angeles students.

Rosa Sequen, a ninth-grader, won the Sherak Community Service Award, named for Madeline and Tom Sherak. Tom Sherak is a partner with the Revolution Studios entertainment company.

Asuncion Santiago, a 12th-grader and her mentor Sabine Schlosser, a member of the Fulfillment Fund, discussed how the mentoring program changed both of their lives.
