Santa Monica Bay U.S. Coast Guard flotillas have elected new officers for the coming year, with terms beginning Saturday, January 1st.

At Division 12, with flotillas in Marina del Rey and King Harbor, Greg Daley has been elected division captain and Barbara DeCuir vice captain.

Other Division 12 officers are:

– Flotilla 01; Mitchell Bushin, flotilla commander, and Don Roof, flotilla vice commander;

– Flotilla 02; Charles Ecker, flotilla commander, and Dan Hoehler, flotilla vice commander;

– Flotilla 04; Bob Searles, flotilla commander, and Keith Touzin, flotilla vice commander;

– Flotilla 05; Dick Reinhardt, flotilla commander, and Trent Kelly, flotilla vice commander; and

– Flotilla 07; David Chubin, flotilla commander, and Ernie Perez, flotilla vice commander.

Flotilla 05 is based in King Harbor and the other flotillas are based in Marina del Rey.

At Marina del Rey-based Flotilla 02 of Division 4, the new officers are Bert Blanchette, flotilla commander, and Bruno Acalinas, flotilla vice commander.

Eric DeCuir, Division 12 captain for the past two years, was elected rear commodore of Los Angeles/Long Beach North, a section with the Auxiliary District command structure that includes Southern California, Arizona and Nevada.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is the civilian, volunteer arm of the U.S. Coast Guard, whose members specialize in marine safety and public education.
