The U.S. Postal Service recognized Stamps.com of Santa Monica Monday, April 3rd, with the “Industry Star Award” for the company’s commitment to a successful partnership with the Postal Service.
The Postal Service “Industry Star Award” is one of three Best in Class award categories.
Ken McBride, Stamps.com president and chief executive officer, accepted the award. Stamps.com provides a service that allows individuals and businesses to print official United States Postal Service postage directly from their PC and printer without special hardware.
At each National Postal Forum, select postal customers are acknowledged and recognized with appreciation by the Postal Service for their contributions to the continued success of the mailing industry.
Customized postage has proven to be a “critical element” in the ability of the Postal Service to reach a younger generation of mailers, and Stamps.com has been a driving force behind efforts to make customized postage available for commercial applications, postal officials said.
