The City Council decided to postpone a decision to layoff municipal workers and cutbacks to city departments at its Wednesday, February 3rd meeting.

The reduction of neighborhood council budgets from $45, 000 to $22,500 was also tabled, as well as a decision to slash positions at the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment.

The council agreed to revisit the possibility of cutbacks to the city’s workforce in 30 days.
