Venice Arts has received a $50,000 grant for its Art Mentoring programs from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

Among other components, the multi-year grant will support Advanced Studies, offering internship placements at Venice Arts and in local creative companies, one-on-one mentoring and special advanced workshops and exhibits.

Venice Arts officials said they are proud to join the other Los Angeles-area recipients receiving National Endowment for the Arts arts education grants, including the Music Center, L.A. County Arts Commission, Inner City Arts and Deaf West Theater.

The average art education grant provided nationally by the NEA was $31,000, according to Venice Arts.
