Geri Kenyon — school psychologist at Venice High School — has been honored as the outstanding school psychologist for the Los Angeles region by the California Association of School Psychologists.
She was honored Wednesday, March 2nd, at the association’s 56th annual convention in Riverside.
She was nominated by regional colleagues for having “one goal in mind and that is to help students and families to the best of her ability.”
At Venice High School, she assesses students for special education services.
She is on the Student Success Team, where she develops strategies to help students and families deal with an education setting.
Kenyon also helps develop and maintain the high school health and human services programs.
She is a former health and human services director for the United Teachers of Los Angeles board of directors.
She is also an active member and past president of the Los Angeles Association of School Psychologists, an affiliate of the state association.
Kenyon lives in Topanga.
