The Venice Neighborhood Council will hold a special meeting Monday, June 14th to review its Land Use and Planning Committee’s recommendations on various proposals by the St. Joseph Center.
The meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. at the Oakwood Recreation Center community room, 767 California Ave., Venice.
The new board of the Venice Neighborhood Council will be sworn in during its first meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 15th at the Westminster Avenue Elementary School auditorium, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.
At the June 14th meeting, the council will address the land use committee’s recommendation to approve St. Joseph Center’s request to modify conditions regarding the number of shared parking spaces on the “campus” that includes the center.
Other committee recommendations before the council are the denial of St. Joseph Center’s request to modify conditions regarding the hours of operation for certain activities and the use and occupancy of the premises. The center is additionally proposing to modify conditions regarding the types of programs allowed to be conducted on the premises, which the committee has also recommended to deny.
