A new boarding location has been added to the Marina del Rey WaterBus summer schedule at Del Rey Landing, the new fuel dock convenience store that recently opened at 13800 Bora Bora Way, the county Department of Beaches and Harbors has announced.

WaterBus service for Del Rey Landing will commence Thursday, July 8 from 5 p.m. until midnight, to coincide with the first concert of this year’s Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series.

The Marina del Rey WaterBus now offers eight boarding locations throughout the marina. Passengers can take the WaterBus one-way for a fee of $1, which is accepted at the boarding location by a dock attendant. The WaterBus will be in operation through Sept. 6.

Boarding locations include Fisherman’s Village at Fiji Way; Burton Chace Park at Mindanao Way; Waterfront Walk/Fire Station #110 at Admiralty Way; Mothers Beach at Palawan Way; Dolphin Marina at Panay Way; Esprit I at Marquesas Way; Marina Harbor at Tahiti Way; and Del Rey Landing at Bora Bora Way. All boarding locations are ADA compliant except Fisherman’s Village.

WaterBus Service operates from 5 p.m. to midnight Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays and the Labor Day holiday.

The WaterBus will offer special Classical Thursday service from 5 p.m. to midnight during the Marina del Rey Summer Concerts on July 8 and 22, as well as Aug. 5 and 19, for concertgoers who prefer water transportation to and from the concert site.

In addition to WaterBus service, the free, clean, landside Beach Shuttle will circulate between Playa Vista, Marina del Rey and the Venice Pier on summer weekends and during the Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series.

For Marina Movie Nights, the WaterBus will operate its regular Saturday schedule from 11 a.m. to midnight. Movies start July 24 with Hair Spray; Aug. 7, The Blind Side; and Aug. 21, Shark Tale. The last film in the Movie Nights lineup is Arctic Tale scheduled for Sept. 4.
