Joined by Santa Monica Police Chief James Butts, community and business leaders, and local residents, Wells Fargo Bank celebrated on Saturday, June 3rd, the grand opening of its newest Santa Monica banking store at the corner of Ninth Street and Montana Avenue.
At the grand opening, Wells Fargo made $5,500 in unsolicited contributions to Santa Monica organizations as part of its ongoing commitment to support the communities in which it serves.
Organizations awarded cash donations included Roosevelt Elementary School ($2,000), the Santa Monica Police Activities League ($1,000), Crossroads Middle and Upper Schools ($1,000), the Pico Youth and Family Center ($1,000), and a Girl Scouts troop ($500).
“Wells Fargo also wants to be a financial partner in the community by supporting local initiatives that benefit Santa Monica,” said Beau Haigh, store manager for the Montana Avenue Wells Fargo.
“I hope to strengthen our relationship with local area nonprofit organizations.”
