Former members of the Westchester High School baseball team are invited to participate in an alumni game at noon Saturday, February 26th, at the high school, 7400 Manchester Ave., Westchester.

Alumni planners say “festivities,” including batting practice, will begin at 9 a.m.

If a sufficient number of alumni participate, an alumni versus alumni baseball game will be held, in addition to an alumni versus high school varsity game.

The first game is planned at noon and the second game would follow.

After the games, the participants will move to the West-chester Babe Ruth Field near The Gas Co. site, two blocks from the high school, for a barbecue.

Ross Rosenfeld has assumed the head baseball coaching position at Westchester High School this season.

Rosenfeld succeeds Ron Kasparian, who retired after 30 years at Westchester High School.

Rosenfeld earlier coached at University High School.

He holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.A. in education from Pepperdine University. Information, Rosenfeld, (310) 738-3382.
