The G2 Gallery in Venice will premiere Wings of the West Coast, a collection of photographs by Ron LeValley highlighting his experiences studying and photographing birds for more than 40 years, beginning Tuesday, April 23 through June 9.
The opening reception is scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at G2, 1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.
From the inquisitive robin to the majestic bald eagle, Wings of the West Coast represents the vast diversity of avian wildlife LeValley has photographed through the years, say gallery officials.
“Ron is an incredible artist and conservationist,” says G2 Gallery Director Jolene Hanson. “His photography is among the most popular here at G2, and we’re elated to have him back for another full exhibit.”
LeValley has been photographing nature and wildlife subjects for 46 years.
A founding member of the Mendocino Coast Photographer Guild and Gallery in Fort Bragg, LeValley said his true passion is bird identification and conservation.
All proceeds from the exhibit and opening reception will be donated to The Nature Conservancy.
Admission to the opening reception is $5. The event includes live music, wine, hors d’oeuvres, and valet parking is available. To RSVP, rsvp@theg2gallery.com.
