Visitors will have the opportunity to view 11 gardens in the Westchester community that will be displayed during the Westchester Mental Health Guildís Fifth Annual Garden Tour Sunday, May 3rd.

The tour will include a wide variety of gardens that incorporate the vision, dreams and ideas of their owners in creating designs for outdoor space that enhance their living styles and needs, according to the Mental Health Guild.

Tour visitors will be treated to features ranging from a peaceful, reflective Zen garden, to a ìwhimsical havenî featuring the ownerís sculpture, and to a poolside garden for dining, a Mental Health Guild spokeswoman said.

The tour will also take visitors to an organic community garden on the grounds of a Westchester church and to homes designed to follow the trend toward environmental protection and water conservation.

Ticket holders are invited to visit a designated home where complimentary refreshments will be served, and where they can shop for spring gifts and garden items from the Guilded Cage Gift Shop, as well as a plant sale.

The Westchester Mental Health Guild is the primary supporter of the Airport Marina Counseling Service. Proceeds from the garden tour benefit the clinic, which is now in its 48th year of providing affordable mental healthcare to residents of Westchester, Playa del Rey, and the greater Los Angeles International Airport area.
