A 22-year-old man was killed in an apparent gang-related shooting in Del Rey Monday night, November 24th, police said.
The man, identified by police as Alberto Ramirez, was standing on a driveway in the 4800 block of South Slauson Avenue, south of Braddock Drive in Del Rey, at about 10:20 p.m., when a suspect allegedly walked up to him and shot him multiple times with a large-caliber handgun, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The suspect, described as a Hispanic man approximately 19 to 20 years old and wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants, then fled the scene in a red vehicle, police said.
The incident appears to be unrelated to other shootings that have recently occurred in the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Area, police said.
