The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has begun a toy drive at Woodlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Santa Monica that will run through Thursday, December 13th.
This year marks the 60th anniversary for the Toys for Tots tradition of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
Last year Toys for Tots delivered more than 19.2 million toys to over 7.6 million children. Unfortunately, with over 13 million children living in poverty, Toys for Tots officials say they need the public’s help more than ever to achieve the goal of delivering a toy to every child in need.
This year Woodlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1847 14th St., across the street from Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, is participating as an official toy drop-off location.
Donations of unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the cemetery business office through Thursday, December 13th.
Toys may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
