The first annual Taste of Abbot Kinney, a walking, eating, drinking tour of the eclectic Venice boulevard’s restaurants and bars, will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 11th.
The event will offer ticket holders tastes from nearly every restaurant on the street. Event-goers will check in at 920 Abbot Kinney Blvd. and can walk to each restaurant for a sample of its fare. Select venues will also offer wine, champagne and spirit tastings.
Tickets are $60 for food and non-alcoholic drinks and $85 for samples of food, wine and spirits. Proceeds will go to Venice-based Inside Out Community Arts, an award-winning non-profit organization that brings arts education to underserved Los Angeles school kids.
Home to some of Los Angeles’ most celebrated chefs and local favorites, Abbot Kinney Boulevard features a wide diversity of establishments. Restaurants range from chef Joe Miller’s Michelin-star establishment, Joe’s, to new hotspots, The Tasting Kitchen and Lemonade, as well as longtime local favorites, Capri and Marla’s Kitchen.
A free shuttle will be available for those who prefer to ride, and to help visitors reach the far ends of the street.
Ticket holders will be treated to a tasting sample from each restaurant. Select eateries, including Joe’s, Primitivo, Elvino, The Tasting Kitchen, The Other Room and Capri will also offer wine and/or spirit tastings for those with wine and spirits tickets.
As a bonus, ticket holders will also receive exclusive discounts at participating retailers such as Jexy, Principessa, Presence, Salt, Sunya Curie, Circuit Works, Surfing Cowboys, Enda, Patio Culture, Equator Books, and more.
