Councilman Mike Bonin helps install a new signal
at Manchester and Lincoln

Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Bonin was in Westchester on Monday to help a city transportation crew install a new left-turn signal at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Manchester Avenue.
There have been 45 automobile collisions at the intersection since 2006 — many of them involving left turns, according to city records.
The work comes as part of a $6-million city effort to improve safety at 32 trouble-spot intersections throughout the city.

The workers didn’t need his ‘help’! Just another ‘stunt’ to draw attention to himself. I contacted Mr. Bonin’s office attempting to get a meeting with him and was told he was too busy? However if I wanted to stop by Trader Joes he would be there for an hour on such and such day – to meet with his public. Does he hold meeting with the Mayor at Trader Joes?
Just another dog and pony show – a public display of involvement – from just another attention seeking politician.
About time they improve the signal lights at this intersection. Protected left turns on every light cycle (while maintaining a Don’t Walk status during) are sorely needed there.
