A Culver City man accused of raping and fatally stabbing a Venice woman who was pregnant with twins pleaded not guilty to the charges at a court hearing earlier this month.

At an early disposition hearing at the Superior Court Airport Courthouse January 12th, Boneetio Washington, 22, pleaded not guilty to three counts of capital murder and two counts of sexual assault charges in the killing of Eun Kang, a court spokeswoman said.

Kang, who was four months pregnant, was raped and stabbed to death inside her home in the 1600 block of Electric Avenue December 8th, police said.

Washington pleaded no contest to one felony count of first-degree residential burglary in September and was sentenced to 335 days in jail and placed on three years probation, according to the county district attorney’s office. He is currently being held without bail.

A preliminary hearing for Washington is scheduled Thursday, February 18th at the Airport Courthouse.
