Sgt. Leonard Valentine Jr. has retired after 45 years with the Los Angeles Airport Police at Los Angeles International Airport.

A retirement party was held Friday, December 2nd, at the Hacienda Hotel in El Segundo.

Brian A. Walker, acting chief of the Airport Police, thanked Valentine for being “a dedicated role model for all officers in the department.”

Valentine began his career with the Airport Police in March 1962 as a police officer and was promoted to sergeant in 1979.
