Los Angeles International Airport has begun a free midday Tuesday and Thursday shuttle service between the main terminal area and the Flight Path Museum on the Imperial Highway side of the airport.
Flight Path admission is free and the museum is open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and the first Saturday of each month.
The shuttle is designed to allow passengers who have extra time between connecting flights at midday Tuesdays and Thursdays to visit the airport Flight Path Museum.
The shuttle departs LAX Terminal 2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. and noon, arriving about ten minutes later at Flight Path in the LAX Imperial Terminal.
Return trips depart the museum at 12:20 and 1:15 p.m., arriving at Terminal 2 about ten minutes later.
The service will be operated for a 90-day trial period.
Travelers should allow about two hours for the museum visit, including the round trip on the shuttle, said Flight Path president Rowena Ake.
“This is a great opportunity for travelers to see Flight Path’s impressive collection of memorabilia, saluting the history of LAX, airlines, aviation companies and aircraft,” Ake added.
