The American Cancer Society needs volunteers to help package bouquets for its annual Daffodil Days campaign, which raises funds for cancer research, education, and patient services through the sale of daffodil bouquets of all shapes and sizes.
Volunteers are needed to help on “wrap day,” beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 11th, at a Marina del Rey florist.
Drivers are also needed to deliver the bouquets during the week starting Monday, March 13th.
Anonymous “Gift of Hope” bouquets are also delivered to cancer patients at cancer treatment facilities in Los Angeles County.
Daffodils are symbolically considered the first flower of spring and they represent hope for cancer patients.
Volunteers are asked to call Adriana Sandoval, (310) 348-0356, option 3, extension 225.
