PHOTOGRAPHS by Scott Tansey, who is known for his sweeping landscape images such as this (above), will be exhibited as part of the Art Crawl event at Figtree’s Café in Venice. The event features a tribute to the café’s late owner, Victoria Barcelona.

The monthly Venice Art Crawl Thursday, Dec. 20 will feature a tribute to Victoria Barcelona, the owner of Figtree’s Café who recently passed away.
Art Crawl activities are scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m., with the Barcelona tribute taking place at Figtree’s Café, 429 Ocean Front Walk, Venice.
Every third Thursday of the month, Figtree’s Café becomes a pop-up gallery as part of the Art Crawl night. The Venice Beach Boardwalk lights up as people walk from Windward to Rose avenues, pop in and out of art galleries, mingle and appreciate local Venice artists, event organizers say.
Photographer Nick Busco will be participating in this special one-day event as part of the Venice Art Crawl. He has toured the country with many renowned musicians and has captured stars such as Bonnie Raitt, Tom Petty, Rod Stewart and others.
Busco’s work and that of photographer Peter Padmapuzzo Thompson will only be on view at the café for one day, Dec. 20.
Thompson is a lover of literature and music, and his works highlight authors and musicians. He is a family and pet portrait artist and children’s book illustrator.
Photographer Scott Tansey, who is known for his sweeping landscape images, will also participate in the tribute event. His work is currently on exhibit at Figtree’s Café and will continue through January. The café is featuring several works from his Patagonia series.
