The CLARE Foundation, a non-profit providing alcohol and drug recovery services, will present the fourth annual ART for CLARE from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 13th at Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Ave., Santa Monica.

The event transforms the Bergamot Station courtyard into a street festival with food stalls. Also featured is a silent action, a group art sale, a chance drawing with prizes, and music performances.

More than 60 artists and celebritiesare expected to participate, including Anthony Hopkins, Jeff Bridges, Ed Ruscha, Billy Al Bengston, Joe Goode, Lex Couwenberg, and Kim McCarty, an event spokesperson said.

“Addiction has become an enormous national health problem that rarely receives the proper attention,” says actress Meredith Baxter, ART for CLARE co-chair. “As artists we are uniting to ensure that CLARE continues to help addicts with no place else to turn to beat this deadly disease.”

ART for CLARE is an effort to bring attention to people suffering from substance abuse nationwide, event organizers say.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the CLARE Foundation, which provides treatment and recovery services for alcohol and substance abuse to homeless and low-income men women and children.
