The Venice Art Walk & Auctions benefiting the Venice Family Clinic and featuring a 400-piece silent art auction and three home tours and a party with the artists, will celebrate its 30th anniversary Saturday and Sunday, May 16th and 17th.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Venice Family Clinic, the largest free clinic in the country, which provides healthcare to more than 23,500 people in need.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of an event that has raised millions of dollars in support of Venice Family Clinic, there are more artists, more homes, and more deals on original and limited-edition works by some of the biggest names in the Southern California art scene.
Three separately ticketed art and architecture home tours will be held May 16th and 17th.
The “New Wave of Venice Architecture” tour is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. May 16th. Tickets are $100 per person and include a VIP cocktail reception at Dogtown Station Lofts following the tour. Registration is at Westminster Elementary School 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The tour “A Stroll Down Architects’ Alley: A Historic Walking Tour of Rustic Canyon,” is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 16th. Tickets are $175 per person and include lunch, as well as a VIP cocktail reception at Dogtown Station Lofts following the tour. Tickets are extremely limited and must be purchased in advance.
The tour “Eclectic Homes on the Venice Canals” is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 17th. Tickets cost $100 per person and include admission to the Sunday, May 17th Venice Art Walk & Auctions. Registration is at 2202 Dell Ave. (Glass Condominiums), Venice, 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Venice Art Walk & Auctions event will be held Sunday, May 17th. Tickets are $50 per person and include admission to the artists’ studio tours and silent art auction. Registration is at 10:30 am, at Westminster Elementary School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.
The Artists’ Studio Tours (the “Venice Art Walk” proper) feature more than 60 artists’ studios and special exhibits. Free shuttle buses run throughout the day. Studios are open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
At the 400-piece Silent Art Auction, more than 400 original works of art will be featured including paintings, sculpture, graphics, photography, ceramics, cartoons and furniture donated by Los Angeles-area and Venice Art Walk artists. The auction closes at 5:30 p.m.
The Art Walk also includes food faire and live music.
