Arraignment postponed for

environmentalist van de Hoek

Ballona Wetlands environmentalist Robert van de Hoek’s arraignment at the Airport Courthouse in Westchester has been postponed until Thursday, October 12th, after his attorney requested more time to review the case.

Van de Hoek’s arraignment was previously scheduled for Wednesday, August 30th. He is represented by attorney Thomas A. Mesereau Jr.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office has charged van de Hoek with three counts of vandalism and three counts of violating a city Municipal Code section that prohibits the cutting of any plant life without permission from the city Department of Recreation and Parks.
