The Belle Air Brass musical ensemble will appear with the parade grand marshal — orchestra conductor Frank Fetta — on the grand marshal’s boat in the 43rd annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 10th.

Members are lead trumpeter Deborah Wagner, Barbara Laronga on trumpet, June Smith on trombone, and Beth Mitchel on tuba. The band is known for mixing music and entertainment with kitsch and comedy.

The brass band has been performing in Los Angeles since 1988 and has performed at Universal Studios, the Queen Mary in Long Beach, and at the Los Angeles County Fair.

The band has also played at the Women’s Jazz Festival in Japan and the Royal Hall of Taipei in Taiwan.

The group has made appearances on CNN, CBS This Morning, Today in LA Weekend, AM Arizona, E! Television, at football’s Super Bowl, soccer’s World Cup, Herbie Hancock’s Digital Jam, and at the Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

PRIZE PACKAGES — Holiday Boat Parade president Cindy Williams said parade organizers have received a variety of prize packages to award to entrants.

“We’ve received so many prize packages, including airline tickets from Southwest Airlines, hotel packages to destinations in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Seattle, San Diego, and other locales, as well as restaurant gift certificates, gift baskets, free haul-outs, bottom cleaning, and car wash certificates,” Williams said.

“Star Light, Star Bright” is this year’s parade theme. The entry fee for personal boats is $25.
