Spiritual comedian and columnist Beth Lapides will perform her latest solo show, “100% Happy 88% of the Time” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, October 25th at the Writers Boot Camp at Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Ave., Santa Monica.

“100% Happy 88% of the Time” brings together the funny storytelling Lapides pioneered at Un-Cabaret with her NEA award-winning visual art plus eye-popping graphics from edge science.

Lapides’ free-wheeling performance looks to connect the dots between happiness and issues including: getting evicted, trying to be “emotionally green,” learning to follow signs from the universe, meeting Dr. Emoto, having a “psychic dagger” removed, discovering a stargate in her bedroom, rewriting your own DNA, and interpreting crop circles.

The show 100% HAPPY 88% of the Time has been produced in LA at the Los Angeles Public Library’s “Aloud” series, M-Bar, the Comedy Central Stage, Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, Yogi Tree and Writers Boot Camp.

Lapides has written for O Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, jewcy.com and is a regular columnist for LA Yoga Magazine with “My Other Car is a Yoga Mat.”

She has performed for the Skirball Center audiences many times, as well as JCC Orange County, 92nd St. Y/Makor in New York, Sisterhood Temple Israel of Hollywood, Sinai Temple Westwood, and many other organizations.

General admission tickets are $15 at the door, or $10 in advance at http://bethlapides.com/node/15/.
