Team TAG and Boys & Girls Club of Venice members plan to participate in an “Apprentice”-style competition Saturday, June 14th, with teams of adults and youths selling new and used goods from the Thrift Shop in an effort to raise money for the club.
The event — featuring furniture, antiques, sporting goods, jewelry and other items — is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the Boys & Girls Club of Venice clubhouse, 2232 Lincoln Blvd., Venice.
The winning sales teams will receive prizes at the end of the day, compliments of The Ad Group.
Leading up to the event, the club is looking for the donation of new and gently-used items to be sold, a club spokesman said. The group is also looking for community members to come to the event and serve as “secret shoppers,” which will give the youths an opportunity to use their sales pitches on as many people as possible.
Team TAG is comprised of individuals that form a partnership in business at The Ad Group in West Los Angeles. The Ad Group is a marketing firm that is dedicated to the personal growth and success of those colleagues that join TAG in the management and promotion of various campaigns.
TAG is spearheaded by Jaime Hepp, who is a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Venice board of directors, along with his wife and Team TAG executive JoAnne Hepp.
The Ad Group has enjoyed great success in business in the Los Angeles area and gives back to the community by getting involved in the development and growth of urban youth. The group’s goal is to establish a positive influence in the lives of young people as they face the challenges of becoming adults in Los Angeles.
