The girls gymnastics teams at Broadway Gymnastics School in Del Rey scored a series of high-level wins when they competed at Southern California’s State Championships in Long Beach last month.

“The coaching staff did a great job getting the girls ready for the championship and our athletes did a wonderful job stepping up their game when it was needed,” stated head girls team Coach Kort Borg. “We are very proud of all the accomplishments the girls achieved this season. They worked hard and achieved successful results.”

The Level Four Team finished first in the state, defeating 44 other teams and the school’s Level Six Team came in second.

Bryanna Keith of Playa Vista, competing in the nine-year-old division won first place on beam, second on floor and all-around and third on bars. Ambre Nash of Santa Monica took third place on floor and second on bars, while Del Rey’s Ashley Holley placed second on the beam and floor in the ten-year-old division.

In the eight-year-old division, Annah Yeh of Venice took first place on vault, beam, floor and all-around and Rowan Wong of Mar Vista placed second in the same categories except vault.

Broadway Gynmastics’ Level 5 Team closed out its season winning five gold medals, two silvers and four bronzes. Caterina Kachadoorian of Santa Monica took first place on bars and floor and Elisheva Eckhaus of Playa del Rey won first place on beam.

Santa Monica’s Anna Pack won fourth place on bars and beam and fifth place in all-around. In the ten-year-old division, Isabelle Paquette won floor, was second in all-around and third on bars, while Blair Sullivan was the winner on bars and fourth on vault.

In the 11-year-old division, Remi Godinez won the bars competition and placed third on floor. In the 12-year-old division, Amanda Block won third in all-around, beam and floor.

The school’s Level 6 Team took second place after beating out 30 other clubs. Caroline Spertus took first place in vault, second on floor, third in all-around and fourth on bars in the ten-year-old division. In the 11-year-old division, Cassandra Diaz was first on bars, second all-around and third on vault and beam.

Natasha Rothenbucher won on beam, was fourth on vault and floor and fifth all-around, while Ine Richards was the winner on floor and all-around and Tia Lumer placed fourth in all-around.

Alicia Goldszer came in fourth place on vault and Kaila Wong of Mar Vista finished in fifth place.
