The Santa Monica City Attorneyís Office has filed a 16-count criminal complaint against the owner of a carpet cleaning company in Woodland Hills, alleging false advertising and elder abuse.
Through an agreement with Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadilloís office, the Santa Monica city attorney was given authority to file all of the charges on behalf of Los Angeles.
The complaint filed against Sharon Gilboa, proprietor of Clean Dry USA, includes charges
of grand theft by false pretenses, false advertising and elder abuse, a Santa Monica city attorney spokesperson said. Three of the alleged victims are senior citizens, one of whom is a Santa Monica resident.
Gilboa and the corporation, Clean Dry USA, Inc., were scheduled to be arraigned in LAX Superior Court March 17th.
