The City of Santa Monica is looking for name suggestions for an 8.3-acre park now under construction on the south side of Santa Monica Airport to the City of Santa Monica.

Designed by the Culver City-based landscape architecture firm ah’bÈ, the park site is at the northwest corner of Centinela and Airport Avenues and is expected to open early next year.

The names will be collected and presented to the City of Santa Monica Recreation and Parks Commission in September for discussion and its recommendation(s) will be forwarded to the Santa Monica City Council for final consideration.

The park will include a synthetic turf sports field, an off-leash dog area, picnic tables, a restroom building, a children’s playground and two parking lots.
