The city of Santa Monica will hold a community open house “Ask the Staff” meeting Thursday, Feb. 9, allowing the public to receive information on planned construction and capital improvement projects in the city.

Visitors can “drop in” at any time between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. for the meeting at the Ken Edwards Center, 1527 Fourth St., Santa Monica. The event is part of the city’s Be Excited! Be Prepared campaign.

Residents, employees, business owners and other community members will have the chance to talk with project managers and city staff about construction and capital improvement projects.

Projects represented at the meeting will include the Expo light rail, the new Civic Center parks, Parking Structure 6, Ocean Park Boulevard Complete Green Street, traffic issues and system improvements, street and bike improvements, water and sewer projects, future projects such as the California Incline and pier structural improvements, and several private projects.
