The HARC (Help Artists and Rehabilitate Children) Foundation will present a special “Command Performance” Contemporary Arts Salon Benefit event in Venice Saturday, Feb. 4.
The event, featuring international and American performing artists and creative artists, is scheduled at 2 p.m. at the Gebert Gallery, 1345 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.
Proceeds from the “Command Performance” will benefit the HARC Awards and the HARC Creative Arts Therapy (CAT) Awards. The HARC Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the value of creative arts and creative artists in America as well as rehabilitating abused and neglected children through the creative arts.
The event will include a concert, silent auction of artwork and wine and antipasti reception. Cocktail attire is requested.
The concert performances will include international artists
Markus Pawlik, pianist; Patricio da Silva, composer and pianist with Yevgeniy Milyavskiy, pianist; Rebecka Larsdotter, composer and singer with band: Mahesh Balasooryia on piano: Zane Musa on saxophone: Dale Black on bass; Zack Harmon on drums; and American poet Stacy Gnall. CD recordings of featured performers will be available for purchase.
Artworks featured in the silent auction are by painters Derrik Van Nimwegen, Ann Marie Rousseau, Darla Warner and Elana Kundell; digital impressionist Les Mayers; and photographers Carol Henry, Ann Marie Rousseau, Candace Biggerstaff, Leo Garcia and Domenico Foschi.
