Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman and Zach Galifianakis team up with other comedy heavyweights for Festival Supreme, a 10-hour Coachella of comedy on the Santa Monica Pier

In the world of comedy orange may be the new black, but black hasn’t gone out of style either. Jack Black, that is.
Consider the high-power talent that Black and co-conspirator Kyle Glass, who together form the comic rock band Tenacious D, have assembled for Festival Supreme — a 10-hour Coachella of comedy taking place Saturday on the Santa Monica Pier.
The roster of performers scheduled to appear at Festival Supreme reads like a month’s worth of programming on Comedy Central. Headlining the event is no less than the Waterboy himself, Adam Sandler, sardonic comedienne Sarah Silverman and bearded wiseacre Zach Galifianakis, best known for the three “Hangover” movies and the HBO cult favorite “Bored to Death.”
In addition to Sandler, Silverman and Galifianakis, comedy ensembles The Mighty Boosh and Mr. Show — the latter featuring Bob Odenkirk of “Breaking Bad” and David Cross of “Arrested Development” — will reunite, and rounding out the bill are Patton Oswald, Neil Hamburger, Will Forte, Tim & Eric of “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” and Month Python’s Eric Idle.
Musical acts in addition to the D include Garfunkel & Oates and Craig Robinson of “The Office” with his band The Nasty Delicious.
Even late night’s favorite foul-mouthed puppet, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, is making an appearance — opening for Sandler, of course.
If you can’t find a laugh at Festival Supreme, consult your doctor for a funny bone transplant … stat!
Festival Supreme kicks off at 2 p.m. on the Santa Monica Pier. Tickets are $99 to $154. Visit festivalsupreme.com for more information.
