Seven candidates were elected to the Del Rey Neighborhood Council board of officers Saturday, October 28th.

More than 130 people voted in the election, held at the Marina del Rey Middle School library, 12500 Braddock Drive in Del Rey, according to final election results.

In the only contested seat in the election — for second vice president — write-in candidate Katia D’Amico received 64 votes to defeat Jack Cumming and Rebeckah Haraczka, according to final results.

Cumming withdrew his candidacy after the ballots were printed and wanted his 59 votes transferred to Haraczka, who received nine votes.

Independent election agent Jerry Kvasnicka turned in a final official canvass of votes Tuesday, October 31st, and did not transfer Cumming’s votes to Haraczka.

Challenges to the final official canvass of votes are due Sunday, November 5th.

The candidates elected to the seven board of officer seats and their vote tally, according to final results, are:

– president, Mark P. Redick, 116;

– vice president, Paul Plotkin, 106;

– second vice president, Katia D’Amico (write-in candidate), 64;

– treasurer, Jerrianne Neumann, 116;

– secretary, Theresa K. Luo, 91;

– parliamentarian, Marlene

Savage (write-in candidate), 94; and

– communications officer, Michael H. Stafford, 119.
