The 19th Annual Los Angeles Asian & Tribal Art Show, featuring internationally renowned art dealers specializing in Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian and South Asian) and tribal arts (African, American Indian, Oceanic and Sumatran), will return to the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium Saturday and Sunday, November 14th and 15th.

Considered the first show of its kind in the region, the Los Angeles Asian & Tribal Art Show is a place to learn about or purchase high-quality, authentic arts, an event spokesperson says.

More than 60 individual galleries will be on display, each showcasing an exclusive selection of authentic Asian and tribal art pieces from some of the most-sought-after collecting arenas in the world, the event spokesperson said.

Art collectors, museum professionals, historians, arts enthusiasts and interior designers attend the show each year to add to their collections or learn about the different cultures.

The show will open with a preview reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, November 13th to benefit the Fowler Museum of Cultural History’s Textile Council. Sponsored by Art + Living Magazine and California Homes, the wine and cheese reception will feature music and a silent auction. The benefit routinely draws prominent museum and arts supporters.

The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles has partnered with the Los Angeles Asian & Tribal Art Show to present a series of short films and a panel discussion featuring filmmakers and Bollywood industry professionals at 1 p.m. November 15th. The screening and panel discussion are part of the show’s annual educational program of art, travel and cultural discussions.
