Santa Monica resident David Marks, an executive vice president and head of U.S. corporate banking for Wells Fargo, has joined the board of directors for Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles (JFS).

“We are delighted to welcome David Marks to the JFS board,” said Paul Castro, JFS executive director. “Wells Fargo and its executives have long been a source of support and leadership to JFS, and David’s appointment continues this valuable partnership.”

For more than 151 years, Jewish Family Services has provided social services to individuals and families in need, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion or ability to pay.

JFS programs counsel families in crisis, support the elderly, house the homeless, feed the hungry, assist people with disabilities, and work with victims of violence.

Marks leads more than 400 Wells Fargo employees and he is responsible for Wells Fargo’s nine corporate banking offices in the U.S., its Financial Institutions Division, and the California Government, Education, and Labor Division.

Marks was born in Minneapolis and has a bachelor’s degree in history from Carleton College.
