Dr. David Chang has joined The Marina Spine Center at Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center Marina Campus as an orthopedic specialist.
Chang specializes in minimally invasive spinal surgery, artificial disc replacement technology and degenerative disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine.

Chang began his medical studies at Princeton University, where he graduated with a degree in molecular biology. He later earned his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York.
He completed a general surgery internship at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital in New York, and later continued his training at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where he focused on orthopedic trauma surgery.
Chang completed his orthopedic surgery residency at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases and an advanced fellowship in orthopedic spinal surgery at the Los Angeles Spine Surgery Institute at St. Vincent Medical Center.
In addition to his orthopedic training, Chang has served as a staff physician for the New York Mets and Martha Graham Dance Company in New York, where he focused on spine-related sports injuries.
The doctor, who speaks fluent Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, currently resides in Los Angeles.
