HOPE CHAPEL DEL REY — “Who filled all the eggs?” is a question often asked at Hope Chapel del Rey’s annual egg hunt when people see the large amount of eggs assembled, church officials say. For its annual Easter Eggstravaganza egg hunt, the church seeks to up its egg count each year. The event for kids ages two through 12 now has 30,000 candy filled eggs — up from 20,000 — hidden around Westchester Park, 7000 Manchester Ave., Westchester. Gates open at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15th. All participants must arrive by 10:30 a.m. in order to take part in the egg hunts. The egg hunt is divided into age groups two to four years old, five to seven years old, eight to ten years old, and 11- and 12-year-olds. Admission is free.
Kids can also participate in activities including pony rides, moon bouncing, photos with the Easter Bunny and games. Police cars and a fire truck will be on hand to entertain children and each egg hunt participant will receive a free hot dog and soda, according to Hope Chapel del Rey.
At the end of the event, a raffle will be held to give away bikes, toys, stuffed animals and jumbo-sized Easter baskets.
