The third and final installment in the Santa Monica College (SMC) Spring 2007 Global Connections Lecture Series is schedueld Thursday, April 26th, with a talk on “Drivers of the Global Future” by a senior foreign policy analyst from the RAND Corp. in Santa Monica.

Dr. Gregory Treverton, RAND senior policy analyst and a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School, will be the featured speaker.

The lecture will be held at 11:15 a.m. in Art Lecture Hall 214, 1900 Pico Blvd. and is free and open to the public.

Treverton is the author of several publications on religious conflict, terrorism, intelligence and more. He has been interviewed by The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Baltimore Sun, CNN and National Public Radio.

He received his Ph.D. in economics and politics, a masterís degree in public policy from Harvard University and a bachelorís degree in public and international affairs from Princeton University.

The series is co-sponsored by the SMC Office of Public Programs and the SMC Associates, a private organization that funds speakers and special programs on campus.
