The Phase IV Scientific Health and Performance Center is teaming with Forster Physical Therapy to host a ìRace for a Causeî Wednesday, April 1st, at the center, 1544 20th St., Santa Monica.

The Race for a Cause movement continues to grow as numerous charitable organizations across Los Angeles are motivating people to live healthier, more active lifestyles while helping to support those less fortunate, say the eventís organizers.

Racing for a cause involves raising money for a charitable organization in exchange for expert coaching, free travel, race entry fees and logistical support while meeting new friends and getting in shape.

Over the years, Phase IV and Forster Physical Therapy have worked with a number of charitable organizations in Los Angeles that promote a healthy and active lifestyle as a means to support less fortunate members of local communities, according to an event spokesman. As a show of support, the organizations have brought these groups together so interested people can evaluate each program and find the event that best suits their goals, the spokesman said.

The organizations will present details of their event and share their own experiences. AIDS Marathon, AIDS Lifecycle, Bike for Multiple Sclerosis, Team in Training, the Arthritis Foundation, Team Challenge Crohns & Colitis, and Exceeding Expectations are some of the organizations that plan to attend.

In addition, there will be a number of raffle prizes from Cynergy Cycles, Top to Top Running Store, and Suunto, along with Phase IV and Forster Physical Therapy.

The event is open to the public and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
