St. Jerome Parish and School in Westchester will hold their biennial Fall Carnival Friday through Sunday, Oct. 21 through 23.
The carnival will feature rides for younger children and teens, as well as food, live entertainment, games, and bingo throughout the weekend at 5580 Thornburn St., Westchester.
There will also be a silent auction where adults can bid on a wide variety of items, including tickets to Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers games, and to the shows “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Voice.”
A wine and cheese room, sports bar with flat-screen TV, and tri-tip dinners will be available along with other food items from the grill. Game booth prizes include small electronics and fashion items.
Other activities for children will include arts and crafts and face painting booths.
Jack-FM radio station will be broadcasting from their van at the carnival on Friday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. Radio station KJLH 102.3 broadcasts on Saturday, Oct. 22, and the band, Groove Bazaar, will perform live that evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
“Our theme is ‘Coming Together as a Community.’ We are happy to open our parish and our hearts in welcoming all who come to enjoy this special weekend,” St. Jerome Pastor Norman Priebe said.
Carnival hours are Oct. 21, from 5 to 10 p.m., Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Funds raised from the carnival will support youth programs at both the parish and the school.
