Los Angeles Airport Police detective John Hernandez received a commendation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation for his efforts to prevent terrorist activities last year. FBI director Robert Mueller sent Hernandez a commendation for his work on the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Hernandez also received a certification of appreciation from Brian Walker, acting chief of the Airport Police, for his service to the department and to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

“Hernandez’s tenure with the Joint Terrorism Task Force ensures that LAX is provided with the requisite information needed for the safety and security of the traveling public, employees, and visitors to Los Angeles,” Walker said.

Hernandez was honored Tuesday, February 21st, at a Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners meeting.
