No one was injured in a fire that broke out at a single family residence on 14th Street in Santa Monica Monday morning, November 30th, fire officials said.

Three Santa Monica Fire Department engine companies, one truck company, one rescue ambulance and one hazardous materials response vehicle were called at 8:21 a.m. to the single-story home at 723 14th St., north of Montana Avenue, where a fire was reported, Capt. Brad Graham said.

First arriving units saw smoke coming from the rear of the building. Firefighters contained the blaze to the rear bedroom and closet, quickly extinguishing the fire, Graham said.

The cause of the fire and estimated damage is under investigation.
