The Westchester Woman’s Club presented a $5,000 check Tuesday, January 15th, to the Flight Path Learning Center at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for its flight simulator training program.
The Flight Path Learning Center plans to use the donation to purchase a new flight simulator. Flight Path will then have ten simulators.
Los Angeles World Airports executive director Gina Marie Lindsey, who attended the Learning Center’s board of directors meeting, commended the center for its efforts in support of aviation. She said that the flight simulators generate interest in aviation in young men and women.
In addition to the Westchester Woman’s Club, the Venice Post 177 of the American Legion has also donated to Flight Path for simulators.
A demonstration of the flight simulator was given by Ron Williams at the board meeting.
The Flight Path Museum is at 6661 Imperial Highway, near LAX. Parking and admission are free.
