Seven former artists from Cirque du Soleil are performing a show of circus specialty acts called “Under The Big Top” at Broadway Gymnastics School at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 28th, and at 2 and 4:30 p.m., Sunday, October 29th.

Tickets are $20 for adults or $30 for “blue carpet” seating (within the first three rows) and $15 for children under age ten.

“Under The Big Top” is produced by Michael Manzanet — who performed in “Mystere” at Treasure Island in Las Vegas for five years. The show is touted as one the whole family can enjoy. There will be opportunities for audience interactivity and participation.

Acts at “Under The Big Top” will include aerial straps, aerial chiffon, aerial hammock, contortion and duo hand balancing.

“Under The Big Top” aims to defy the perception of what is possible fusing strength, flexibility, movement and technical skill, fostering an appreciation for the beauty and capabilities of the human body, says a Broadway Gymnastics School spokesman.

The cast of former Cirque performers includes Michael

Manzanet, Christine van Loo, Katia Sereno, Sebastian Stella,

Pavel Soukharev, Eric Newton and Enkee Tumendelger.

“Under The Big Top” will be performed at Broadway Gymnastic School, 5433 Beethoven St., just north of Jefferson Boulevard, Del Rey.
