A Los Angeles-based parking operator has announced its plans to convert a former strip club advertising “Nude Nudes” on Century Boulevard near Los Angeles International Airport into a full service parking facility.

The longstanding adult venue, which has attracted attention with its large banner for nude entertainment along the corridor to LAX, has been closed for business.

The L&R Group of Companies is planning to expand its flagship facility, WallyPark, into a state-of-the-art parking facility at the former club site. The project will include 2,000 additional spaces, a retail space for local businesses and restaurants, and offer premiere airport parking, a company spokesman said.

Currently located on Bellanca Boulevard, the parking facility will expand to Century Boulevard and is intended to reinvigorate the image of the gateway to LAX, the spokesman said. WallyPark provides car care services such as auto detailing, window tinting, gas refueling and oil changes, special member programs, and a frequent parker program.

“We are thrilled to expand our location, our offerings, and our brand here in Los Angeles,” said David Damus, chief executive officer of the L&R Group of Companies. “The investment into the Los Angeles community is of paramount importance. Creating jobs through community re-investment and supporting the local economy is a part of what L&R is all about.”

Construction on the new WallyPark site is scheduled to begin later this month and is expected to be completed by early summer 2010.
