Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and Samsung Telecommunications America have launched free electrical charging stations in all the terminals at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Los Angeles World Airports is the city agency that operates LAX and three other Southern California airports.

With the new charging stations, launched July 18th, travelers are able to charge their mobile phones, laptops and other personal electronics devices free.

Fifty-one Samsung Mobile Charging Stations with four electrical outlets per station are located in Terminals 1 through 8 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal. With the summer travel season under way, LAX has provided an added service to millions of travelers with an increasing demand for electrical outlets, airport officials said.

Samsung and LAX staff held an on-site demonstration of the charging stations July 18th and displayed the latest Samsung handsets.
