The Santa Monica chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting one of the Los Angeles County Public Health Department’s free flu shot clinics for those eligible from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, November 20th, at the Santa Monica Red Cross chapter, 1450 11th St. (near Broadway) in Santa Monica.
Those eligible for the free flu shot include pregnant women, healthcare workers, nursing home or chronic-care facility residents, and those who are over 50 years of age and/or have a chronic condition such as asthma, heart disease, kidney disorder or diabetes.
Anyone who is allergic to eggs or has any other serious illness are asked to consult with their doctor before obtaining any flu shots.
The free flu shots are made possible through Los Angeles County Public Health Department and the American Red Cross of Santa Monica. Limited free parking is available.
The American Red Cross of Santa Monica is a nonprofit corporation that provides health and safety education, youth services, CPR and first aid training, disaster awareness and disaster relief efforts.
