The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks will serve free lunches this summer to youths at various locations in the city.

Two of those locations are in Venice:

n 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Oakwood Recreation Center, 767 California Ave.; and

n 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Penmar Recreation Center, 1341 Lake St.

Mar Vista has one location:

n 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Mar Vista Gardens Recreation Center, 4901 Marionwood Dr.

The program begins Monday, June 21st, and ends Monday, August 30th, and provides lunch to youths age 18 and younger.

The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture through its Summer Food Service Program.
