Gloria Davis of Marina del Rey has been named the executive director for the Ms. Senior California Pageant 2005.

The pageant is for women 60 to 80 years old and will be held in September at the Marina del Rey Hotel in Marina del Rey.

Eighteen contestants for the state pageant will be selected from six preliminary pageants held throughout California.

Ms. Senior America Incorporated, a national nonprofit organization, sponsors the state pageant.

The National Ms. Senior America Pageant will be held in Las Vegas in November.

Davis was previously the pageant director for California state pageants that were sponsored by Miss USA, Miss Universe, Miss America, Miss Teenage America and Mrs. America.

She also produced and directed 57 television specials for beauty pageants, and worked as an agent representing beauty pageant contestants.

Davis is married and has two grown children.

Davis has been active in the Marina area.

She has been associated with the Villa Marina Council and was a candidate for the local Republican nomination in the 36th Congressional District in 2004 and 2002.
